We offer comprehensive eye exams for all ages, in-depth ocular imaging, prescription eyewear, fashion eyewear (regular sunglasses), safety eyewear, contact lenses, and much more! You can schedule you eye exam online though our facebook page, or our website booking page.

We also direct bill most insurance companies, which means that you don't have to pay out of pocket, and no messy paperwork to submit! Come in and experience high quality eye care where the focus is on you.

Dr. Tatevik Shaboyan

Optometrist

Dr. Shaboyan is the founder and owner of Brightway Optometry. She takes great pride in her practice, and strives to deliver highest quality patient care.


She has obtained a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. Throughout her studies, Dr. Shaboyan was a member of the Dean's Honour Roll. She completed ocular disease training at the Lexington Veteran Affairs Hospital, providing care to patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and other conditions. She has also trained with doctors in Toronto and observed ocular surgeries such as cataract, retina, and LASIK.

She offers routine and emergency vision care, and welcomes patients as young as 6 months of age for their first eye exam.

Dr. Shaboyan is a strong advocate for humanitarianism. She has gone on mission trips to Honduras, Peru, China, Thailand and Malaysia to provide vision care to underprivileged communities. She has also helped in local hospitals in Armenia, promoting routine eyecare.

In her spare time, Dr. Shaboyan enjoys artwork, music, reading, and spending time with close friends and family. She is excited to be practicing in such a vibrant city, and is dedicated to providing quality eyecare to all her patients.

Dr. Michelle Chung

Optometrist

Dr. Michelle Chung received her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo. She grew up in Toronto and lived there for most of her life until she moved to the United States to pursue her Doctor of Optometry. She went on to attend Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated with an additional certificate for Advanced Studies in Specialty Contact lenses.


Patients visit Dr. Chung for comprehensive dilated eye exams and contact lens/eyeglass fittings. She believes in maintaining complete transparency with the patients and explains the treatment procedures thoroughly.


Dr. Chung specializes in specialty contact lens fittings such as scleral lenses or hard corneal RGPs for patients with conditions that present with any type of corneal irregularities - Keratoconus, post RK surgery, corneal transplants etc, or patients with severe dry eyes that failed drop therapy.


In her spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys traveling, playing volleyball and bouldering.

Sara Saad

Receptionist

Sara is a receptionist at Brightway Optometry. She is dedicated to assisting and interacting with customers in regard to their vision care needs. She will greet you kindly at the front desk and offer you the assistance you need.

She is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, focusing on human biology and physiology. She is interested in pursuing optometry as a career and is eager to learn about the field.

In her spare time, Sara likes to read, walk, and travel with her sisters.

Victoria Lin

Receptionist

Victoria is a receptionist at Brightway Optometry. She is eager to assist patients with their vision concerns and keen on creating a welcoming environment for all in the clinic. 


She is currently studying human biology, physiology, and immunology at the University of Toronto.


As an aspiring optometrist, she hopes to gain valuable skill sets in public services and vision care.


Some of Victoria’s hobbies include going to the gym, rock climbing, and drawing.
